What to do when the holidays are over

Getting back into work/school routine

Sales & Marketing

Summer is over. We must get back to work or school.

We are getting back into the routine and sometimes it is difficult. During the holidays you always go to bed later, often you eat less healthy and at different times then normally. Your biorhythm is actually a bit confused and therefore you are unable to concentrate or during the mornings you can hardly get out of bed. To get into the routine again you can start taking melatonin in the evening. You take it about an hour before you should be sleeping. You are therefore also not eating food that stimulates you to be awake like coffee, tea or drink alcohol and eat exciting food (chips, chocolates, incorrect E-numbers). Give your body the rest to make your own sleep hormones and make your bedroom dark.

To create your own serotonin (calming neurotransmitter), you can take food that contains the amino acid L-Tryptophan. Food that is rich in L-tryptophan: brown rice (brown rice), sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds (without salt), bananas.

GABA is a calming neurotransmitter and you activate this with food like: broccoli, green vegetables, seeds, nuts, potatoes, onions and free-range eggs.

When you sleep well your brains function better, you eat better and start your day well rested.
